Calorie Receipt ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

Calorie Receipt does not sell, share, or provide your personal data to any third-party advertisers or data brokers. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Data We Collect

No account required. Calorie Receipt does not ask you to sign in or create an account. We have no idea who you are — your data is identified only by your own iCloud Apple ID, which we never see.

Camera & Photo Usage

Calorie Receipt uses your device camera solely to photograph food for AI-powered calorie analysis:

Photos are taken only when you actively tap the scan button.
Images are sent to a cloud AI service for analysis, then discarded. We do not store your photos on our servers.
We do not use your photos for training AI models, advertising, or any purpose other than providing food analysis results.

AI Processing

When you scan food, the image is sent to a cloud AI service which returns calorie and macro estimates. The results are stored locally on your device.

Apple HealthKit

Calorie Receipt integrates with Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission:

Read access: Workout data (type, duration, calories burned) to display your exercise history.
Write access: Weight and body fat percentage, if you choose to log these through the app.
